Special Packaging Prize for the Recyclate Initiative
The idea is revolutionary. The collected plastic from the Yellow Bag will no longer be incinerated but rather reprocessed into clean granules with the help of a newly developed special sensor laser technology. The granules are then used in the production of new bottles. The substance known as "recyclates" returns as a secondary raw material to the technical cycle of packaging manufacturing.
The German Packaging Institute (DVI) jury decided that this idea was worthy of a special prize. The experts praised the entire concept of the Recyclate Initiative in which our company cooperates with cross-industry partners including the Green Dot Duales System Deutschland (DSD), the globally active packaging company ALPLA of Austria, the trading, travel and tourism company REWE Group, the German Society for the Preservation of Nature (NABU) and the manufacturer of sensor systems UNISENSOR of Karlsruhe.
We also received the German Packaging Award 2014 for the best sales packaging in the category Detergents, Cleaning Agents and Cleansers. FROSCH now has both signets from DVI on its product labels.
For more than 50 years the DVI has presented the annual German Packaging Award in recognition of the best and most innovative developments from the packaging industry.
